I just like them better! There is nothing like a Jelly Belly Jelly Bean and a Peep to make me smile. I don't think most kids will miss a thing if the basket is colorful and full of goodies. I like, too, that you mentioned other goodies like toys and books. We always filled... I mean the Easter Bunny always filled my daughter's basket with more things than candy. That's the way we did it growing up and now my grandchildren look forward to their basket filled with more stuff than candy, too. Thanks for the informative post and for the links.
