On June 25th, I started a personal 30 Day challenge. Yesterday was my last day for the challenge, and today, I give you my 30 day challenge update. We had our final weigh-in and measurements taken yesterday.
Before I give you my results, I’m going to give you a little bit about the program. It is a clean eating program. We ate good nutritious whole foods. No sugar, alcohol, dairy, gluten or processed foods. It was not vegetarian, unless you wanted it to be. I had good healthy protein, like chicken, wild caught Alaskan salmon, cod, and beef at every meal. Along with yummy vegetables. Although, white potatoes are allowed on the program, I personally didn’t eat them very often. When we don’t have the grandchildren staying over, my husband and I have pretty much cut out almost all carbs. You eat 5 “meals” a day, so you will definitely not be hungry on this program.
There is a set of different exercises every day and a minimum of 10,000 steps a day. There are actually two different programs. One is for people who have not been actively exercising and one called Extreme, for people who are already physically fit and are looking to up their game, so to speak. I did the one for non active participants. Not that I am not active, I just hadn’t done a regimented exercise program in a very long time. So I didn’t want to wash out before I even began.
I’m sorry now that I didn’t take my beginning measurements. I lost a total of eight pounds and a whole pants size. I went from a size 12 in jeans and shorts to a size 10. I feel stronger, have more energy, and can visibly see a difference in the way my body looks. And that was while I was traveling and eating out. So there were a couple of days when I couldn’t get the planned exercises done and struggled to get the 10,000 steps in. So I think if I had been able to complete every days’ exercise implementation, I probably would have lost even more weight.
There was one woman in the group that lost 25 pounds. When I offer this program, I will have testimonials from the people that were in my group and also from the people in the extreme group, so that you can see results from others, not just me.
I’m extremely excited to offer this 30 Day Challenge as part of my coaching programs and will let you know when it is available.
